It ran out again. Nobody said.

Gloves, screws, blue roll, brake cleaner, printer ink. Whatever your team gets through, Storehand gives them one button for "this is running low" and gives you one list to order from. It keeps your equipment checks on record too.

No set-up project. No training. Nothing to install.

Running low
Simple on purpose

If your team can send a text, they can use this

Most stock systems want every item counted, coded and scanned before they do anything. Storehand does not.

2 min

To set up

Name your company, pick your trade, tick what you stock from a short list. That is it.

0

Things to buy or install

No scanners, no barcodes, no labels, no IT. It runs on the phones, tablets and computers you already have.

1 tap

To report something

Nobody needs showing how. Find the item, tap Running low or Out. Done.

  • No counting everything first: start with nothing but a list of names
  • Your team joins from a link, with a PIN. No email addresses, no passwords to forget
  • Already have a list in a spreadsheet? Load it in one go
  • Use the stock side, the equipment side, or both. Switch either off
Who it is for

Any team that uses things up and has kit to look after

Pick your trade and you get a short list to tick from. If yours is not there, start empty and add your own as you go.

The first six have a ready-made starter list. The rest start with an empty list, which takes a few minutes to fill.

For the team

Reporting takes one tap, so it actually gets done

No counting, no forms. Search or pick from the most used items, then tap what is true.

1

Tap what is low

Running low, Out, or Took one. A quick photo the first time, so the right thing gets ordered.

2

Nobody reports it twice

If it is already reported or on order, the app says so, and who by.

3

Everyone sees it is in hand

Reported, ordered, arrived. The team can see it is being dealt with.

For whoever orders

One list, grouped by supplier, with the email already written

Reports collect through the week. When you are ready, tick what you want, change the quantities, and the order email is written for you to send from your own address.

  • Out of stock comes to you straight away by email
  • Usual order quantity and supplier remembered for each item
  • Orders that have not arrived are flagged, with a chase email ready
  • Load your item list from another system as a spreadsheet file
  • Stock-take on a phone or tablet, shelf by shelf, with the differences shown

Equipment

When someone asks who checked the lift, you can show them

Every lift, ladder, compressor, vehicle, power tool and fire extinguisher on one list, each with its own in-house checks and its service and examination dates.

  • Checks logged with a name, a date, notes and a photo
  • Service, LOLER, calibration, MOT and your own dates, with a reminder a month before
  • Faults reported on the spot by whoever finds them: still usable, out of use, or unsafe
  • A monthly report by email: what was checked, what failed, what is still open

Storehand keeps the record and sends the reminders. It does not inspect or certify equipment, and it is your company's responsibility to make sure checks are done by a competent person and in line with your policies.

Questions

The short answers

What does it run on?

Phones, tablets and computers. Open it in the browser and add it to the home screen. There is nothing to download from a store.

How does the team sign in?

You send them a link. They pick their name and enter a PIN. No email addresses needed for the team.

Do we have to count everything?

No. Most items only ever need "running low" or "out". You can keep a count on the few items where it matters.

Is it only for garages?

No. It started in one, but it suits any team that uses things up. There are starter lists for six trades, and everyone else starts with an empty list.

How long does it take to get going?

About two minutes for you, and under a minute for each person on your team. There is no set-up call and nothing to configure.

What if we stop using it?

Download your records and close the account yourself from Settings. No notice period, no phone call.

Where is our information kept?

In the United Kingdom. No adverts, no tracking, and you can download or delete everything yourself at any time.

Who is behind it?

Storehand was built by the owner of an independent garage in Norfolk, to fix this problem in his own workshop first.
